Introduction
MiniBar is a Shopify theme app extension that lets you add a customizable announcement bar to your store. Use it to highlight promotions, shipping info, or special offers with flexible styling and placement.
Installation
- Install MiniBar from the Shopify App Store.
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on your current theme.
- Add the MiniBar block to a section (e.g., header or announcement area).
- Save your changes.
Usage
- Click the MiniBar block in the theme editor.
- Customize the badge text, main message, link, colors, alignment, and padding.
- Preview your store to see the announcement bar in action.
Customization
- Badge Text: Short label to highlight the announcement.
- Main Message: The main content of your announcement.
- Link: Optional URL for the announcement bar.
- Colors: Set background, text, and badge colors to match your brand.
- Alignment & Padding: Adjust layout for best appearance.
Uninstalling MiniBar

Important: Before uninstalling MiniBar, you must remove all MiniBar blocks from your theme using the Shopify theme editor. If you uninstall the app while any MiniBar blocks remain, the theme editor will show an error because it cannot find the app's code. To fix this, reinstall MiniBar, remove all blocks, then uninstall again.
Troubleshooting
- If the theme editor breaks after uninstalling MiniBar, reinstall the app, remove all MiniBar blocks, then uninstall again.
